To communicate and enhance the facility’s commitment to the integration of scientific medicine with alternative approaches to healing, Kent Design was commissioned to design and coordinate the implementation of interpretive monuments for the healing gardens surrounding the building.
We were responsible for the conceptual development, finish design, editing, art and interpretation of the healing monuments.
Through intensive research and client study, we developed an approach to communication in the environment which highlighted information about the hospital’s history, the history of healing, healing symbols and images, the core values of the facility and thought provoking quotations selected to encourage pursuit of knowledge and introspection in the individual search for health.
